TinaMarie Schmidt, LCSW, CCTP
My name is TinaMarie Schmidt, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience in mental health care.
I was raised in a military family and later served in the military myself, including a combat tour during the Gulf War. These experiences have shaped my ability to work effectively in high-stress, high-demand environments and bring a grounded, real-world perspective to the work I do.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. Over the course of my career, I have worked across a wide range of settings, including community mental health, child welfare, and veteran services. I retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2025 after serving as a direct patient care provider, further deepening my clinical expertise and commitment to those I serve.
My professional path reflects both depth and versatility. I have extensive experience in trauma, substance use, and working with veterans and first responders, while also maintaining a strong clinical focus on helping individuals navigate life transitions, anxiety, fear, and overwhelm - particularly as these challenges impact relationships and overall functioning.
My approach is grounded, practical, and adaptable. I meet clients where they are, tailoring my work to fit the individual, the environment, and the goals at hand. Whether in clinical care, coaching, workshops, or speaking engagements, I bring a balance of clinical knowledge, lived experience, and direct, actionable insight.
I strive to create a space where individuals can build resilience, gain clarity, and move forward in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.
My style is straightforward and human, with a touch of sarcasm and humor that helps create connection and bring lightness into even the hardest work.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, and engaging in experiences that support balance and continued growth.
